Jari Rautio, PhD, CEO, CSO

Dr. Jari Rautio is a co-founder of Plexpress and the leading expert on the company’s novel TRAC technology. Prior to his work as the CEO of the company, Rautio was the head of the Plexpress R&D team that successfully commercialized the technology, opening up a wide range of high-throughput applications in drug research.  He was also responsible for establishing the TRAC service arm of the business, including the quality management system according to ISO9001 required to meet the high standards that Plexpress is dedicated to maintaining. This wealth of scientific experience is illustrated via a number of publications, including his doctoral thesis discussing the development and applications of the technology. As well as his scientific role, Rautio has been deeply  involved with business strategy and development since the company’s formation, including a pivotal role in fund raising.

Project Management

Oona Rechardt, Operations Manager

Oona Rechardt joined Plexpress in 2009. As an Operation Manager she manages the R&D projects and customer projects. She holds a M.Sc. in biochemistry and has a strong background in method development of biomolecular analysis methods. Previously she has been part of a preclinical research team in Orion Pharma and she has also experience in sales and marketing of life science products.

Laura Mattinen, PhD, Key Account Manager

Laura Mattinen has a PhD in microbiology and over 10 years of experience in molecular biology. Laura is specialized in systems biology, gene expression analysis and bacteriology. She has extensive hands on experience in expression analysis tecniques such as: qPCR, microarray, NGS and proteomics. Laura joined Plexpress in 2010 and currently she manages customer projects and some of the sales and marketing processes.
